well i didnt actually spray carb cleaner. I have a gallon of it and used it on a brush. when i was all done i blew it out with my air compressor. I have tried to clear the codes that are stored in the computer a few times but when i plug my obd-II in, no codes come up. when im actually going down the road, the lightning bolt symbol will come on for a second and go off instantly. as for the electrical connection on the top of the throttle body. i have had it off a few different times and it is definitely seated.

is there anything telling you that it's the throttle body other than that you just cleaned it? no code, so that's not saying it. do you have a rough idle, or driveability issues?

that's my thought, that its an air sensor. don't know about the coating part, but it's more likely that than a TB.

Dont use the scantool to get the code, try cycling the key instead. For what every reson sometimes it will show up there but not on a scanner. I have had that happen with a few codes, 1 of which involved my TB. No codes from the OBDII port but cycling the key popped it up.

when i pull out from a stop, it seems like there is a big delay when you hit the gas to the time you actually start to move. it is hard to accelorate smoothly from a stop. sometimes when i come to a stop the truck sort of revs up and then comes down to an idle. i will have to try cycling the key to see if a code will pop up. thanks for the input guys. does any one have any experience with the fast man throttle bodies? are they good ones to buy or is there something better?

I have one on mine and its great, only had one issue which was the knife edge plate but he was real quick and nice about getting it taken care of. It is a very good mod IMO. The Knife edge was making the trucks idle do this on start up (I wasn't touching the gas):

its not the tb. air sensor. its right in front of your tb. try tapping on it with the truck running, you may be able to get the idle to jump around.

Did you recalibrate the TPS after reinstalling the TB?
