I've bounced off of my step bar a time or two. worse I've done it the step bar got knocked up bad enough that you couldn't open the door. jumped on it for a couple minutes to let the passenger out.

I don't think you did anything stupid. stuff happens when you go roadin, you didn't do any serious damage.

Everyone loves to go off no matter what they say, but as stated before if you are going to take a nice truck off road be prepared to suffer the consequences. There is no avoiding damage especially at a stock height.

I really want to get a leveling kit now and maybe a inch or two block in the rear just because I kinda want a higher ride height.

Remember, you are the one who started the thread to tell everyone about your "stupid" idea and off-roading.....

You went off road in a 2WD and you were griping about damaging your truck...that's what started the whole thing.....

The dumb thing was not going off road, it was telling us about it! LOL

Well i bought another truck to go offroading, but there is no avoiding going off the highway if you are young and have a truck. I took my lowered Lightning onto a dirt road one time, couldnt turn around and tried to back out, and ended up in 2ft of water. No bueno

I always keep about $500 set aside for the truck. Something is going to happen to it. My Ram got keyed a few months ago, cost $450 to fix. So if its no off road its on the road, somethings gonna happen

Have fun with your truck, if you were a puss then you would drive a civic

Yea I bought a truck so I wouldn't have to be scared of dirt roads and the occasional trail. I also put A/T tires on there for a reason, if I planned on staying on the road all the time I would have put my Toyo H/T's back on there.

BTW, I don't have my air dam on. I removed it and have had no issues....it's not for cooling. It is more for aerodynamics.
