Completely wrong. They work great. Mine has paid for itself many times over. I use Beltronics. Valentine's is nice, but expensive. If you have a heavy foot, it may be worth it. My RX-65 is located right next to the rearview mirror, and alerts in plenty of time.

Because he already read your speed on his screen. He can have his/her radar on hold and then you won't be able to pick up a signal until he/she let's the hold button go, by then, he/she's got you.

I second that. If they work now, they won't work soon. Most law enforcement agencies are going to a laser form of "radar" detector. As soon as they pull they trigger they got you. They had mythbusters show on this also. By the time even their lazer detectors, even the top of the line ones went off, the cop had 'em. Don't waste your money IMO.

But I did get pulled for doin 68 in a 45 and my radar detector DID go off way before I saw him...but then again I DID get busted... And for where it says "you'll get cited 100% of the time", i got a verbal warning for 23 over lol!
