Default Sequence to Eliminate Chime

What is the sequence to eliminate the chime when your drivers door is open? Im so sick of it, i like listening to the radio and using the bluetooth phone deal but if im pumping gas or w/e its going DINGDINGDING louder than crap. I thought I read that the chime was through the speakers or something,so im guessing pulling the plug wouldnt work on the truck like my ford did.

I cant find it in my manual. And if it was on search, I didnt find it. I hate posting a thread w/o pictures, but there really are no pictures I could put on this.

I did look through the manual for mine and I couldn't find it. They have to have something for it. I got the one a while ago out of the manual to get rid of that d@mn dinging when you don't have your seatbelt on.

You can disable the seatbelt thing, but not sure about the door....it is there in case you leave your keys in the ignition. How about rolling down the window and closing the door? There you go! Problem solved! I'm a genius!! LOL

There isn't one. You can only eliminate the seatbelt chime (but the light still displays). The only way you might be able to is with a StarScan.

No, not really. Like I stated before, I really deal with the problem when talking on my phone through the radio. Ive tried the window down/door closed deal. They cannot hear at all, it really eliminates anyplace for your voice to travel.

And you can just shut the door no problem. But you have to get in, turn the key, then wait for the window to go back up. Alot harder. Like 10 extra seconds.

I wish we could just cut the cable. I would have done it the day I bought the truck. There has to be a fix.

yea I was doin a little research on this. I am even more confused now lol. I think you have to take the panel off the door, locate the "door ajar switch" in the door latch assembly and disable/unplug it. I might tear into my panel tomorrow and have a look.
