I found a web site that sells them for $50 http://www.transmissionsone.com/45rf...s_from_pat.htm

Also, I asked my buddy a couple months ago about this mod and he did not recommend this mod. He said it puts a lot on the internals of the transmission. Hes been rebuilding transmissions for about ten years now. So I take his word a little . Do yall think this is true?

Transgo has been using the same resistor in thier shift kits for years and no issues. So i would say it could be safe to use. All this is here is a nice little plug and play piece to make things more simple to add on and take off.

With this potentiometer idea couldn't you use bigger resistance? Or is 20watts the most without damage or most effective?

I'd still be scared of using it with a tuner though. If it ups the line pressure and the line pressure is already raised from the tuner, I can see big problems there... A $10 mod that has the potential of doing 2 grand worth of damage does not sound great to me.

i thought the tuner does nothing for the trans on my 03. after adding the tuner i did not notice anything in my shifts. nothing at all. so im assuming this wont be a problem for the 03's. if anyone has any info on that please post so we'll know. im still gonna do the install in the morning and drive around normally for a bit.... to see if it makes a difference.
