Default opinion on an In dash dvd/Nav for my 06 ram?

I have always wanted one and never really had the money to get one. I have looked at pioneer, alpine, kenwood, etc... and they all look nice. I really dont know the pros and cons of each so if anyone has one they would like to recommend please let me know what you think about it. thanks

I've always had good luck with Kenwood stuff.Go to www.crutchfield.com and read the reviews on the ones you are interested in.

i just got the pioneer p4200dvd, preatty happy with it. I think it all depends what you are looking for. Layout, bluetooth, xm etc, i say go to local shop and play with them for a little and you will see which one you like the best. good luck

pioneers are my favorite. I bought a clarion to try out the brand but still am a pioneer guy. Alpines are good, and Kenwood makes a good product for the price (seems to be trendy here too)

Its all depending on what features you want, like he said. Navigation, bluetooth, updateable, preouts, ipod configuration, EASE OF USE! My clarion is NOT easy to use, and just about everything has to be done through a laptop. But tell us what you want and price and someone will find it

I use a clarion with my box buddy/It's a portable sound system with cb radio. Makes it real easy to jump in a different truck every time and still have tunes. Our company semi's have no radios' just the bare minimums so sad too bad lol

bluetooth is that important to me but i have to have something that will hook up for my ipod. right now its all i listen to and the AUX port on the stock radio is always in use. I'd probably really use 2 sets of preouts. I've always used regular pioneer headunits in the past and really havent been too happy with them. im going to check out the crutchfield site and see what they have to my liking. thanks

Also i really dont like the flip out screens too much because they seem to bounce too much in my buddies rides. I've seen a few indash screens fit real nice even though you can tell the bar was cut off. But if a flip out is all i can get i guess i will have to take it.

It really depends what you plan to do with it.
If you just want it to have it just about any deck will have ipod/aux inputs and are capable of adding onto with xm, bt, etc.

Do you want an easy to adjust eq, time alignment, crossovers, sub control, front/rear/sub rca outputs? Or do you care more about the screen quality and ease of viewing on a sunny day?
