Default Just Did the LED Dash

I got my leds in the mail from superbrightleds.com today and popped em in. I ordered white but they either sent me blue or the dash has some sorta film but either way I like em. I dont have any of that paper stuff to change the PDRN so all thats still green.

sorry from the crappy cell phone pic

There are 10 DIY on this ( I think frog did one). There is a blue film that makes the yellow halogen bulbs look green, so blue is pretty much one of the only colors you can do

Although, I was wondering if you did red if it would look purple? I dont want to do blue, so maybe I need to do some experimenting.

Yeah sorry I meant to take pictures but the camera was missing somewhere. All you need to do is pop off the radio bezel, and the headlight switch trim, Then there are 2 screws holding in the trim around the cluster at the top, then that pops off. Then there are 4 screws holding the cluster itself in. Then you have to pop off the three wiring harness, the two on the left were easy, the one on the right was a pain to get off, Needle nose pliers helped there.

Like Matt99 said you need the B8.5x leds from superbrightleds.com (11 for the 02-05) (I think 6 for 06 and up) .I was tempted to get the high output ones, but I was worried they would hotspot too much. When you look at the back of the cluster you can see all but one of the old lights, they look like the new one except the plastic on em is black. The one you cant see is under the chime module right in the center, so you gotta pop that thing out. Just twist the old bulbs out with some needlenose pliers and twist the new ones back in. The new ones are polarized so I had to go plug the cluster back in and see which ones weren't lighting up, then twist them 180 deg so the pins switched places. Once there all light up yur done! Took about 30-45 min, pretty easy. If you want to change the PDRN you need the special film, and you gotta take apart the digital display part and replace the film, Im kinda scared to rip that apart so I might not do it.

I think you can rip that film out and replace it with wax paper, just order the high output red leds I'm pretty sure that will work. IF not im sure they sell that paper in red.
In fact here is the first thing i found http://www.adorama.com/Als/ProductPage/RO120.html
