Make sure to check the oil. I know the 4.7's sometimes have sludge problems leading to catastrophe. I must say though, that is a clean @ss truck for being an '02. The mileage isn't that bad for being that old either. I'm already over 101 thousand and mine's an '04. Make sure you look under that dash carpet for cracking also.

6 grand sounds like a good deal to me! looks pretty clean too. just look under the dash mat for cracks theyre known for that. now not to scare you, because the 4.7 seems to be hit or miss, but my 4.7 required a new motor on its way out lol. they are notorious for sludge and overheating which leads to warped heads and blown headgaskets. my headgasket went and upon deconstruction we found the head were warped and way out of spec and could not be machined and shimmed. then going through the block the sludge was so bad it wasnt worth the time or headache of putting that much money so for a little bit more, a million mile/4 year warranty sounded pretty good and no worries. thought it would be a selling point as well, but the truck remains in the family and is actually out front right at this moment lol

Yeah, the 4.7 can have sludge issues if conventional oil was used and not changed regularly. The dash cracking issue is for real and if it has a factory LSD, then I'd check it and remove the retaining clips before they break and grenade the whole rear end.
But that's about it. Price is good for such a clean truck.
If it were me, I'd pay a shop to do a compression test. $75 to find it has a problem and walk away is cheaper than an engine later.
I have the HO version of that 4.7 in my Grand Cherokee and it's a horse. Two of my friends have 4.7s, one in a GC, one in a Dakota and both are well over 200,000 miles with engine issues...
