The only markings on the box was my address and inside the only thing was a plastic bag with a Tee shirt, two decals and two business cards besides the unmarked converter. Found bolts and "o" ring inside the TC itself. No information what so ever.

Without any info about the TC or contact from Edge confirming what you have, I would hold off on that appointment for install tomorrow until you find out for sure that you have what you are supposed to have.

As much as it pisses me off, I am afraid I am in full agreement with you. Tomorrow is also the only window I have for at least a week and I jam my shop again. It would not surprise me that they are not so accommodating next round.

Alright looking at the edge site, they use the same pics for the 545RFE, the 904, the ford converters, and the GM converters. Its just a generalized image to "show" a difference even though it may not apply to a certain make or model.

The thing that would scare me a little is the stuff they put inside the converter. You dont pack anything inside the converter. If I would have read that first it be an automatic no go, I hate to say it but I'd wait on the install. They may be using rebuilt cores to give the lower prices than the stamped cores and with that said they could have possibly sent a trade in core instead of a rebuilt or new one.

Truckin brings up a good point, who ever heard of packing parts inside the converter for shipping?

The TC has a Edge decal on the front and back, so I would believe it to be ready to be shipped. The paint is lousy, but like I said it has decals on it, What I can see there are new parts inside. The bag holds the new mounting bolts. Don't know where the "O"ring goes. There has been no fluid in it. My question goes back to; is it the street Edge or mild street edge? I don't see how I can know without someone at Edge telling me and then "again" how do they know since there are no markings on it. It actually makes me feel better they are using the same pictures for all of their transmission descriptions. Just don't know.

I got a question for you, figured since you just went through the order process you might know. Is the street edge you posted here http://www.edgeracingconverters.com/...products_id=43 the same as the edge racing street strip converter here http://moesperformance.com/index.php...oducts_id=1454 or here http://www.airram.com/product.php?ca...productid=1108. The names are different on every site but the description seems to be very similar for all three.

Teacher,
I checked the pages and compared them to the order form sent from Moe's to Edge. The order sheet specifically request a HemiVerter which is identified as the Street Edge converter on Moe's website. I had previously over looked it and thought it described both converters. So at least the correct TC was ordered from Edge. Now whether Edge actually sent the right TC to me, I don't know. Likely they did, but again without a spec sheet they'd be hard press to prove it.
Teach, thank you and the others for bearing with me and for sifting through all the details. i am going to go forward with the install, but I am still not happy with not getting the call back from Edge or Moe's. And I'll request a spec sheet from Edge which is pretty meaningless now.

Well if you want to be sure they sent you the right one, after the install, you should be able to feel the power increase almost imediately (unless you ordered one based on some pretty extencive mods that you have not done just yet) and if you do a brake stand type burn out you should hit whatever stall you ordered (or close to it within 100rpm) before the tires start roasting.

Mine wont roast until about 2650rpms and mine is set for 2700 stall.

If you are going through with the install then make sure you let us know how it performs for you.
