Default Which Edge converter is this?

Here's a question for those who have recently bought Edge converters. I ordered a Edge Street Converter and recieved this:

It is 11-1/2" diameter.
It appears to be built from a junk yard core.
It does not have the same appearance as the Edge Street Converter on their web page which is a smaller diameter. However, it does look like the Mild version, but I am being told it is indeed the more expensive street converter. Anyone have recent experience with these converters?

Looks like a stock shell with upgraded internals. I dont think the images on moes are correct, I think they are more like a generalized image and not specifically for one brand or another

Looks identical to my aps converter though so I wouldn't worry to much about it. Put it in and give it a run.

Also give them a call and verify that you ordered the correct one.

John,
Which converter do you have?
There is a couple things about this converter that's got me cranked up. 1st, it's late in coming. 2nd, it doesn't look like the converte shown on the website. 3rd, there is no spec sheet or identifying codes on it. Nothing but a converter in a box. 4th, it is built from a really beat up "bottom of the bin" core. Has the appearance of a $89 Pep Boy exchange TC. No "promised" call back from Andre'. Whole thing has the smell of a "wolf ticket", not sure I want to add install money to it. I was out of town last week when it did arrive and went ahead and scheduled an 0800 Monday appointment "again" at the shop to do the install. Now, there is no chance to find out what TC I actually have, but through the forum. I will probably just return the converter and start over.

Truckin, thnx
The pictures and discription were from Edge's website.

I would believe them to represent the actual converter.

It Looks like an Dummy AT Mine to me.

Thats the problem with fancy website pictures, your not ever sure if it is the actual item unless you know what yours already looks like.

As long as the internal list of improvements promised have been done and assured and you do got 2 ID confirmations above it should be OK. But if you don't have a warm and fuzzy, don't proceed.

I would have thought a stamped or sprayed number on it would be there for 100% ID especially for handling purposes within a busy shop unless there are unique features only those SMO's can see. I asked awhile back if anyone was running the TCI and no response, so if I go that route I hope I get the shiny website one.

A simple call from them would have clarified everything. I have to assume customer service is not high on the list with them.
OlDirtyJohn, did you ever figure what blew on the first trans? Could it have been TC related?
