Trailor Hitch Ball

Trailor Hitch Ball
I' m trying to get the ball off my bumper and it just won't budge. Which way should I be turning it? I also don't have an actual hitch wrench so could that be it? This thing is all rusty and I hit it with penetration spray but I haven't been able to get it to move. Any suggestions?

Ok ok I know I'm a newb. It does have a bolt underneath and I tried a pipe wrench and an adjustable wrench on the bolt and I can't get the stupid thing to budge. I think tomorrow I am just going to get my grandpas nut splitter and just break the nut. I have a hide-a-hitch that is bolted to the frame so there is no need for the one on the bumper or the bolt.

Don't take a nut splitter to it, only as a last resort. If that don't work then your screwed. Find a buddy with a impact and a 1 1/2 inch socket or even a tire shop or something. Or take or wrench and slide a cheater pipe over it to get some leverage. IT will need to be turned left towards the drivers side as you stand behind it
