My apologies. I stand corrected. Mrs Broncoremy reminds me that I am in need of continual correction so I am used to it. I don't mind being corrected, it is how I learn things.

The service manual mentions removing it from the IAFM? What is the IAFM?

here is a link to a pic of one, its hard to tell were your looking on the engine but you can see the oil filter and use it as a referance point, its goin to be on the front of the engine on the passengers side.

Mine has a PCV valve that connects at the oil filler neck. Cleaned that out too as it was all crudded up.

Sorry this has taken so long, I don't have internet consently and I forget about this sometimes. Anyway, update on my issue. Since last time on here I have cleaned the throttle body, twice, replaced the EGR valve, the TPS, and the IAV. I also have had any leaks I had in the exhaust system welded up to be sure it wasn't a back pressure issue. I still have the problem of it almost stalling out at red lights, almost like a vapor lock on an older motor. It doesn't seem to happen as often now, but my truck seems to like 500 instead of 600 RPMs for an idle now.

I would flashpaq the motor, that would adjust your idle too stock. 5oo rpm seems low. A sc tune will help I'm betting.

I just need to find a place to tune it up then, I was told the '04's don't have a tuner.

My truck is a rock steady 800 rpm. I checked the day after I commented . Hope it helps.
