Default Broken muffler

Hi, I have a 2004 Ram hemi 4x4 and my muffler died yesterday. The exhaust line is fine but the muffler cracked because of rust.

I do not want to change all my exhaus line. Does anyone knows which muffler I could use.(just the muffler) I know it will require maybe a little bit fitting. I already remived the back resonator. I would like something similar to stock muffler(sound)...maybe a bit louder but not too much.

Thanks for letting me know

Max

Anything will fit if you are willing to add a little pipe.

ok but is there something specific for a RAM hemi? Because I want the proper flow. I do not want too much restriction but I do not want too much free flow..

thanks

Why not just get an OEM replacement then?

Any Flowmaster 40/50 series, Magnaflow or Aero will work. Thats what most guys use anyway. If you want something stock then call or go by some of your local exhaust shops and see what they have that they have taken off of someone else truck and see if you can get it from them if it is in good shape.

If not, then buy one of those listed above.

3in in 3in out to fit you stock piping. If you want just a little sound over the stock muffler look into the larger Magnaflows.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=8591

I went to this after a louder muffler and love it. The price is cheaper than that listed, maybe $100-$130 with some of the online dealers.

http://www.planetmagnaflow.com/shop/...12589-894.html for instance.

^^ You need 3.0" in/out to fit your stock tubing. why they say a 2.5" in/out muffler will work, I dunno? Probably bad info and or don't care if they sell you the wrong part.

Thanks everyone!!! I think I'll go with the magnaflow 12589. Do you know if it's really hard to fit?? I mean, is it going to cost me 4 hrs of labour??

Thanks

Max
