Yeah, either a 1/4 or 1/2 watt will work.

I did some testing last night on this. My cousin owns a 2004 dodge ram 1500 with the hemi and we put the 2.2K between wires 1 and 3 and noticed a good difference in shifts and the speed of the sifts. So it looks like in 2006 they must of made some changes that mad it so that the 2.2k resistor wouldn't work.

I could not find a 350ohm resistor and Radio Shack or Fry's Electronic so I put a 330ohm and a 20ohm in series to get the 350ohm resistor. That made a real difference in how mine shifts at full throttle but when just cruising it seemed the same. So what it looks like is that the 2003 to 2005 can use the 2.2k ohm mod, and the 2006 and up need to either buy a sonnax or build one with a 350ohm resistor inline on line 2.

I have not tried the 350 on the 2004 yet but on mine(2006) made a big difference were when I had the 2.2Kohm on lines 1 and 3, I didn't notice anything.

this only works on the 5/45RFE transmission. your truck does not have it.
