I did this on my Ram due to the contact in the buckle itself failing. Here's what you do.

Have a look under your drivers seat from the back seat. You will see a small wire going into the seat belt buckle.

Grab a pair of side cutters and snip the wire.

Next what you want to do is strip the wire so you expose both wires. They are very small so be gentle..lol

Get a bung connector and connect the wires together with it.

Remember to use elecrical tape, or a shrink wrap over the bung connector to ensure it doesn't ground to anything else or get wet.

Tuck it under the fooring carpet.

And poof you're done!! This requires no screwing around with disabling the chime, disassembling your dash (can't believe someone would go that far...lol) or any other stuff and it's practically free and takes about 5 min.

Mine just quit working at about 60,000 mi. It was really annoying when hooking trailer or getting firewood up from the lower barnyard.

You could tap the two wires together through a switch as well, this would let you re-instate regular functionality if you needed.
(Call it a seat-belt chime by-pass switch).
