Got *HID* Problems? Check in here...
I have a problem i have a 2000 dodge neon with after market projectors h1 bulb i have installed my hid kit 12000k all correctly but wen i turn them on only one side would work (passenger) i was told to reverse the polarity and that still didnt work i witched the 2 ballast and now the driver side work and passenger dont any ideas
When you say after market projectors, are you taking about taking the headlights apart and adding projectors in them or the pre made manufactured headlights you can buy off ebay or LMC?
Those on ebay and LMC are NOT made for HIDs. They are made for halogen bulbs and there IS a difference.
If you reversed the polarity to the ballast and now neither work, you likely damaged and blew them? Now sure why some one would think connecting something backwards would work. That's absurd and dangerous.
Bottom line is this, test what you have first and K. I. S. S.
On your ballast there is a 12v and Grnd. With your HID bulb connected to the ballast, connect the ballast directly to the battery.
Does it work? If not, switch ballast and bulbs to test each and determine if you have a bad bulb or ballast and replace accordingly.
If they do work, then something is incorrect in how you have them connected and wired with the trucks wiring. At that point I would ask if you are using a HID harness or not?

Just wanted to stop back in and let you know that I got everything up and running with ur valuable info posted here! Please, everyone wanting to use hid on these rams, listen to weedahoe, He knows what he is talking about and just follow the posts from the first one, use everything exactly as he describes and it will work! I have been all over the net for months and everyone has an opinion how to make this work and 99% of them are WRONG. Do not skimp out and try to use 2 resistors, use 4. I found a 4pac of them on ebay for less than $10.00 shipped.....Thanks weedahoe
You're new so I understand you skipped over it thinking all the good/important info is at the end but you should go back and read then first page. Everything important is there
To my Co-Ram Users! The solution is here for your Installation & HID issues.
I found this blog from HIDextra, and I really found this very helpful for us, since we know that our truck is normal to have issues at aftermarket HIDs.
