Read the posts. There is a post where I tell you what to use and plug into on the pass side.

figured it all out tonight where all you need is to plug in one of your halogen bulbs on the passenger side headlight and your canbus lights out is a final deal never off then back on again checked all the voltage and watts to make sure all is all, then having to buy all that non-sense of capacitors and anti flicker garbage that eats more voltage in the long run.

Guess how much more a 50w bulb versus a 50w load resistors uses, none.

The difference is now you have another bulb now on under the truck glowing.

Only bad thing about that is at some point you will need to replace the bulb. Although not hard to do, it is a recurring expense

Default Hid problem

I have read almost all of these comments and I'm still not finding an answer. I have an 07 dodge ram. I installed the hid with low beam hid and hi beam halogen and I was having the flickering problem. I then installed the resistors, 2 resistors on driver side and 2 resistors on passenger side. Flickering is still going on. Some sites are saying use capacitors instead of resistors? Then some say use a universal relay harness. I'm lost on what to do or buy here. Any help would be great. Thank you

And my kit has it's own ballast on each side.

And I forgot to add also that regular halogen headlights still work. The HIDS work just fine when the key is off but as soon as the truck is started the flickering happens. I have triple checked then rechecked again to make sure all wiring is correct and no loose connections.

Do I need a universal relay harness? Or would a capacitor work better than the resistors?

Read posts 1 and 3. Between the two they explain everything. Caps IMO are not a real fix. They do not do what load resistors so which is mimic the use of the OEM bulbs to trick the PCM/FCM.

Because the headlight circuit is monitored by the PCM/FCM, it is advised to use a harness with relay to carry the load whereas since the fogs are not monitored or controlled by the PCM/FCM, you can get away without using a harness.
