Resistors have one wire on each end. Not hard to install a resistor.

But you will need something in place and of all the installs i have done, none was ever given me issues when using resistors and to this day, resistors are on my truck

Either you have it connected incorrectly or you have a loose connection.

Since you are running HID hi/lo you should have four 50 watt load resistors. Two should be on the P/S and 2 on the D/S. On each side of the truck, one end of the resistor should connect directly to the high beam wire with the other end to ground and the other resistor with one end to the low beam wire and the other end to ground.

You can buy those pictured above and wire them as Immentioned in the previous post or just buy the resistors and wire them in as mentioned

You have a bad or loose connect somewhere. You can always take an ohm/volt meter to test the resistor. You could use the same to test power at each connect point coming to see where it stops to help track down your problem

Default HID Fog Issues

I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab 5.7L Hemi (I believe 3rd gen?? just bought the truck not to long ago) I installed HIDs into my fog lights and the only way they will turn on is if I turn them on before I start the truck. Does anyone have any ideas what might cause this issue??

The ballasts I have are Maxlux CanBus ballasts, I read that maybe I need to change them but wanted to ask here first. Any help is appreciated.
