Default headlights stayed on when i shut truck off-curious this just started

i have and 06 1500 mega cab bought it a week ago. anyway usually i shut the lights off then the truck today i shut the truck off then shut the lights off hopped out and realized the lights were still on. opened the door up and the switch was off. then i messed with it a few times to see if it continued and yes if i shut the lights off after the ignition then the lights will stay on for about 3 minutes before going off however the fog lights shut off. is this normal?

also any way to make the lights flash when i lock/unlock the truck or make all 4 doors unlock with just one press off the remote button. i don't have an owners manual so i'm not sure if it covers this stuff or not

Yes it is normal for the lights to stay on if you turn them off after you turn your truck off.

Sometimes I forget to turn mine off before shutting done the warp drive. They stay on about 30 seconds, running down my battery. Aggravating.

cool so could you just leave the light switch on all the time and lights would stay on about a minute after you shut down and then just come back on when you restart?

sorry coming from a 96 12v cummins so all these new fancy features will take time to learn haha

From page 22 of the owners manual

The system can be programmed to unlock all the doors or
drivers door only upon the first UNLOCK button press
by using the following procedure:
1. Perform this operation while standing outside the
vehicle.
2. Press and hold the LOCK button on your key fob.
3. Continue to hold the LOCK button at least 4 seconds,
but no longer than 10 seconds, then press and hold the
UNLOCK button while still holding the LOCK button.
4. Release both buttons at the same time.
5. This will allow you to unlock all doors on the first
press of the UNLOCK button.
