Default Do I need a new tranny?

2006 Hemi:

Throwing codes:
P0700-Transmission Control
P0734-Gear ratio error in 4th
P0735-Gear ratio error in 5th
P1790-Fault immediately after shift

Truck shifts violently. Now in limp mode. Had tranny serviced less that 2 months ago.

What do you think?

Take it back to whoever did your service and make them fix it... They obviously fudged something up.

I did the tranny service myself. Drained the pan, replaced the filters and refilled. I've done a lot of drain and refills on trannys before so that's not the issue.

Yeah. The ring came with the new filter.

That's usually the only thing you can do wrong when doing a fluid drop in these trannys.
That and stripping a pan bolt lol.
That o ring must be seated squarely and fully.
Plus it must not be pushed in by using the new filter.

When did you do the tranny service? There is an art to installing the flat pan filter correctly. It should be flush to the tranny body before putting the screw in. It plugs directly into the tranny pump and if the filter is even a little cocked you will get air in the system and the 0700 code.

Another symptom I've read about when installing the flat filter and o ring incorrectly in one of these transmissions is, stalling.

Any other suggestions besides the filter? Or is that the only thing you guys can think of?

I hate to say, but if its not the filter, then a new tranny is prolly going to be your only fix
