Default Oil filter question

So, I had a failed lifter 1,700 miles ago. The dealer tore the motor down, cleaned it, replaced the faulty lifters and put it back together. Since then the motor has ran like a champ and been super quiet, even at a cold start up. However, today I did my first oil change since the repair. I am 99% sure dodge put in there conventional oil and there mopar filter. I replaced it with a Bosch filter and Pensoil Platinum. Upon first start up the valvetrain was a bit noisy, to be expected because it takes a little longer to build pressure after the oil change. However for the rest of the day today, if I let the truck sit for 2-3hrs or more, it would have lifter tick on start up. It would go away in 20-30 seconds, or if I tapped the gas to 2000-2500RPMs.
Two things I also noticed
1) When I drained the truck it was definitely FULL... I got at least 7qts out, mabye even 7.25
2) I am only using the dummy guage, but I sear my oil pressure is slightly lower after my oil change, and takes a little longer to come up after the change.

Could the different filter (Mopar vs Bosch) be causing the lifter noise/pressure difference at start up?
Could it be the PP synthetic oil?

What do you guys think I should do? As of right now I think I am going to head to the dodge dealer tomorrow and pick up 7qts of oil and a mopar filter, change the oil again and see if the noise goes away.

Ideas?

Having the lifters replaced in my Charger, I know of this trouble. To my experience, I don't think the filter causes the issue because I originally only used Mopar oil filters. After a while, found that I was more satisfied with Fram.

The noise however, not real sure. Mine used to tick really bad with the bad lifter, and told the shop to replace the oil with full synthetic when the job was done. Well, soon after, a noise was noticed but no performance issues were ever noted.

Full Synthetic is slightly less "Sticky" so it doesn't have the same coating properties of conventional oil in some cases.

I think maybe what you are experiencing as far as where the oil pressure gauge is now, is normal due to the fact that synthetic oils don't get a thick as conventional oils when they are cold.

The tick you are experiencing however I cannot attest to, as I use synthetic in my truck and I don't seem to have the same problem. But as is the case with almost any Push-Rod type head setup there is bound to be lifter tick... now if the tick gets worse over time or if it does not sound harmonious (pattern-like) with the rest of the engine then it should be checked out.

Try switching to Semi-Synthetic Blend first, you'll get the best of both worlds in some sense, and it may help coat those noisy parts a little better.

I think it's the Bosch Filter. I had a quiet motor till I put on a Bosch filter for the first time. It would tick all the time. Changed the oil and put a Fram filter on it like I usually do and my noise slowly went away.

I may try to swap the Bosch for a Mopar filter (Frams are pretty bad IMO). Maybe going back to the Mopar filter will quiet it back down.

Anyone know how much oil you lose out of the filter alone, if you dont drain the pan? I am thinking I may just let her sit over night, then just replace the filter and keep the PP synthetic in there and see how she sounds.

Half a quart, then run the engine 30 sec minimum, shut off and check. fill to the line.

I've heard the guts are very delicate and have been know to break apart and fail internally.

I always load my oil filter. It helps prevent that initial dry start after an oil change. Royal purple quiets these motors down as well. I use Mobile and NAPA Gold oil filters. Its made by Wix.
