Need to blow up truck....
Well its been almost a year now and I still have the idle up and down problem and stalling at lights ( sometime ).
I have been to 5 garages and still no help or answers and it has now pissed me off that i wanna sell it and buy a Ford or Chev truck.
I have spent so much on parts that i have been told it could be---parts i have replaced,
1)plugs
2)cables
3)throttlebody
4)cam sensor
5)crank sensor
6)egr valve
7)pcv
8)fuel Pump
9)New intake seals
Have checked all conections for loose wires and connectors and have had a smoke test done for vac leaks.
So is there anything i'm missing that i havent done to fix this F__king problem.....
By the way my truck is a 2005 dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemmi 4x4.

They also said it depends what computer i have if its the DR or HD for the fix and i asked them how to find out hes say i need a computer for that.

Dealers were supplied with the procedure to erase and reprogram the PCM in a bulletin on April 19, 1995.
Also the idle fluctuation/stalling issue was present on both the DR and DH modules. The only difference is the way they are reprogrammed via the StarScan tool.
From the TSB:
Models: 2004 - 2005 (DR/DH) Ram Truck
2004 - 2005 (HB) Durango
2004 - 2005 (DR/DH) Ram Truck
Overview:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module(PCM) with new software.
Diagnosis:
Using a Scan Tool (DRBIIIT or StarSCAN) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures Manual,
verify all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs are present record them on the
repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the vehicle operator describes or experiences the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
NOTE: There are three separate Repair Procedures. One for DR vehicles, one for DH and one for HB vehicles.
It sounds to me like your dealer's service department isn't exactly on the ball. Make sure they affix a PCM update sticker ( “Authorized Modification Label” p/n 04275086AB) next to the VECI label after they've completed the update so that someone working on the truck at a later date knows the software version installed...
