Default 04 5.7L Hemi Broken Valve Spring Help

I have been reading through these two threads for information

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...ng-help-4.html
https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...on-a-hemi.html

Does anyone have a write-up / DIY for broken valves springs? I have done a bunch of research and have looked at a bunch of threads but was wondering if anyone else had any links that would help.

From what I gathered upgrade to the 6.1l springs and buy the custom spring tool that someone is selling off here.

What exactly are you wanting to know? You can see my thread in the FAQ/DIY on how to change the cam and use the steps and pics in it to change the springs. I no longer make the valve spring tool as I do not have access to a machine shop but you can buy one off Jegs or Summit for around $125

Btw.... That $125 initially seems a little rich but... Try doing this job with the heads on without that tool and you will see, it's money well spent!

Alright I did a compression check

Back of Motor
140/150psi 60psi
0 psi 130/140psi
150/160psi 150psi
140/150psi 140/150psi
Front

So the left side I pulled the valve cover and found this

My question is why is the back right cylinder showing 60psi?

Be thankful the keeper hadn't fallen off and you dropped a valve. Happened to me and I needed an entire rebuild!

also i read something about the rope trick to make sure the valves don't drop in the cylinder. a buddy of mine told me that if i turn over the motor and make sure the cylinder has compression I would be able to replace the spring that way true or not?

You can use rope if you want. Or you can do like I did in the cam swap thread and use compressed air

As for the springs, you need (16) 6.1 exh springs
