Lug Nut Free Spins?!

Lug Nut Free Spins?!
So I went to rotate my tires the other day, and I just so happened to start with the rear pass. side wheel.
Loosened & removed 4 lugs and then the 5th one just wouldn't come off... It just kept spinning freely and would not tighten or loosen.
Has anyone encountered this?
Also I was 100% unable to even make the wheel budge with 4 lugs off... it was still sandwiched onto the rotor/hub.
I've never seen this happen before, and I'm kinda worried, as this is the first time I've gone to do work on any of the wheels... which is good b/c then my extended warranty will cover it. (I hope)

Before you cut it all up. Some of these lugs have plasic caps on top. With the impact and over tighten them they break off the lug and spin freely. I have had this happen to around 15 of mine when I went to rotate my tires. I took a drill and drilled a hole in the cap so I could remove it and get to the lug nut

what the hell are you talking about?
The problem has nothing to do with my engine or trans.. is a lug nut genius....
Problem is all fixed.
The splines on the stud sheered off the stud so they had to slowly and carefully drill the lug nut off the stud and then remove the stud and reinstall.
(I'll be a little more clear than I was in my OP) My EXTENDED Warranty didn't cover it so it was a little expensive to get it taken care of but oh well, problem is solved now so I'm happy.
I'll let you all know how it is after I pick the truck up later today.
