Oil cap suppose to look like this?
Since I got my truck in April, I've just checked the fluids in the engine by the dipsticks and the different clear bottles. Now this was the first time I went to add oil to the engine, so it was the first time I took the oil cap off and this is what I saw:

This is not normal right? And what could cause this?

Ok, so do I need to worry about this?
Well, assuming you can't change your driving habits, you'll just need to change the oil following the "Severe Duty" table. Or, take it out on the highway for a hour or so once a week. Make sure your PCV valve is clean.
I was wondering about that. Well, good luck. Even if you just "ride around" for an hour or so, it should help. Serious waste of motion-lotion, but against premature engine failure a few gallons wasted might be a worthwhile expense.

Yeah it's quite mixed in regards to distances travelled each day. It's less than a mile between my home and my work, so it's not until I go downtown and drive around, that the truck gets heated thoroughly.
We fill up by the liter it's currently 6.11 Danish kroners per liter. It's gotten quite expensive in the last 10 years. I remember when I got my first car as an 18 year old kid in the late 90'ies, it was 2.80 kroners per liter.
But our current prices converted to dollars per gallon, are roughly 4$ per gallon. What's the prices in the states right now?

). The oil doesn't get hot enough to boil off condensation.
