Default NEED HELP!!! 2002 2500 4x4 bad rear pinion seal.

I got the old seal out and it had a cover that actually fit inside it. New seal from the parts store didn't match up and they can't find me one. Sticker in the glove box says Dana 60 but that deal is to small. I need help!!!!

I don't think they put Dana 60 axle on the 2500. It should be either a Dana 70 or 80 differential. You will need to know which one you have to get the right seal.

That's what I thought also. I was told to check the sticker in the glove box which says Dana 60 on it. The ones for the 70 and 80 was too small as well.

The pinion flange says Spicer on it and the cover on the pumpkin is stamped with the Dana logo. I can't find a actual tag just a stamp. All the ones the parts store pulled up was to small.

You have an axle with a 95 date stamp on a 2002 truck. You probably can show that picture to the dealership and they can figure out what you need because it looks like your axle was replaced with an older axle.

Thanks for the help. Found out in 02 there was 2 different kinds of Dana 60's and three different types of pinion seals. I was able to locate the right on and will have it tomorrow. The axle wasn't replaced but the cover was.
