04 hemi ac compressor quit on me so I'm replacing everything new condenser,new accumulator,compressor,liquid line and evaporator
bought a hole kit online came with pag 46 oil 8oz I know in the book it saids 1oz in the condenser and 2oz in the accumulator do i put the rest in the compressor because book doesn't say nothing about it or just pour it in the compressor and hand turn it 10 time or more I read about pouring half in the compressor and other in the accumulator, after im done going to take it to get vacc pulled and recharged at a shop

 

Look at the charge slicker under the hood.

 

for some reason mine dont have one plus I'm talking about the oil not freon can't find how oil goes into the compressure

 

was there no oil balacing tag on the new compressor.

you will need to measure the amount of oil that came out of the old compressor to perform oil balancing.

 

I had the system vacc already so i dont know if their any oil in the system its a referb no tag it did come with a 8oz bottle I was thinking 6oz in the compressure then 1oz in the drier and 1oz in the condensor

 

The tag under the hood would have old you oil needed for the system. Your owners manual may also have it. You will have o oil the compressor before installing the top line. I believe most systems only take about 3-4 oz total. The ac tech will add oil when they charge the system.

 

there will always be oil left in the lines and components as the oil circulates in suspension with the refrigerant.
these values i posted are out of the service manual.
total system capacity 6 0z
2oz in both the evap and accumulator
1 oz in the condenser.
that leaves 1 oz for the compressor which seems low to me. I would put 2 in the compressor, install it and the lines to it. then rotate the compressor. you need to add oil directly to the compressor, do not install it with a dry sump them add the total volume into the service port.

 

why put oil in the evap my manual says 1oz in the condenser and 2oz in the accumulator so that leave me with 5oz for the compressor does that sound good

 

i was just telling you what the service manual recommends for each component replacement.

is the compressor dry or partially filled. 5 oz in a partially filled compressor is to much. the compressor will slug.

how much came out of the old one or was it dry

 

the referb compressor is wet on the inside but nothing came out when i turn the clutch so its dry havent taking the old one off yet,went to the part store their system saids if dry it'll take 8oz then 2oz for the evap and dreir and 1oz for the condensor so I picked up another 8oz bottle of pag 46.
