Default Won't shift into OD

My 2005 1/2 ton RAM has a 5.7 Hemi, automatic tranny and about 245K. Amazingly, it still runs great! However, now it won't shift into OD. All other gears are fine. Also, when starting from a complete stop, it engages into gear, but I have to give it a LOT of gas to get it moving. If I start from 2nd gear, it starts moving normally. I also noticed a noise this morning in the driver side front, but doesn't seem to be an engine noise. I just had the fuel pump replaced and in the diagnosis process, we checked and it's not throwing any codes. Any help will be appreciated!

Sorry...very frustrated and in a hurry when I submitted my question. It's a 5.7. Thank you!

Stat with the basics. What is the transmission fluid level and condition? Any maintenance ever done on the transmission?

Yes, fluid is good and I added a quart of Trans-X. I've had the truck for about a year and have not had any issues nor maintenance with the transmission.

With that many miles and unknown maintenance history, it might be time to drop the pan and see whats up.

Maybe so. I've seen some posts here talking about relays and sensors. I was wondering if that's a possibility, before tearing into things.

Check and see if there are any codes. (pending codes won't turn on the CEL.)
