Default A/C cooling Fan

Hey guys,

Well from my Gen 5 to my son's Gen 3, the A/C has been under performing for quite sometime. He took it to a shop today and they said the accessory fan is not coming on and it should to help assist with the cooling of the freon in the lines. So, has anyone experienced their cooling fan on the driver side of the clutch fan stop working. I checked the 30 AMP fuse and it looks good. I didn't check for a relay as I figured that the Fues is the only thing that I should check. Also, when I checked to see if the plugged was plugged into the fan it was not. I connected it to the fan motor, then ran the truck and let it get up to temp. 102c / 215f and the fan never turned on.l. A/C on MAX the whole time.....

Any ideas please post them.

This is the 04 4.7L, I have swapped relays and it still does not come on...and after the swapping of relays the other device that I swapped with still works so I know it is not the relay or the fuse...

If the relay/fuses are good. I would put 12v directly to the fan and see if it even works.

Hope you didn't spend an arm & lg. You can buy just the motor.

And if you get one with a shroud, you can just trim it to fit around the HVAC lines. I honestly don't know why the aftermarket units don't come that way anyways.
