Default Dead 2006 5.7 truck

Posted this on another forum. Trying to get some help.

So like the title says, truck is completely dead. Nothing works. No lights, no dings or chimes, nothing. Almost like there isn't a battery in it at all. Battery is good, couple months old, truck gets ran a few times a week, and currently pushing 12.7 V. Truck ran fine this morning. Drove to store, Crunk right up from store and drove it home. No issues. Went back out to test trailer lights, opened the door everything worked. Put key in ignition, everything was fine. Turned the key to crank and *click* everything shut off. I've gone through every fuse I can find, nothing is blown. Swapped them anyway to test. Swapped all the relays relating to the ignition just to be sure. I've ran out of places to look.

So you tested the battery with a voltmeter?

Not a fuse. Recheck the connections at the battery. Generally, that kind of problem presents itself when one of 'em is dirty, and only making marginal contact. Take the both off, clean the REALLY well, with a stiff wire brush, or something similar, hook 'em back up, should solve the problem.

Check cranking voltage or get it load tested where you bought it.

Okay I'm brand new here and saw this post as I have the exact same truck as you, a 06 Ram 2500 gasser, and I had this problem once. It ended up being my ECM unit, something went wrong with it and I had the same issue. But I could hear the cranking noise but nothing happened like no signal. It was my Dad who suggested the ECM & so I got a new one reprogrammed and things were fine. Not saying that's your issue but it worked for me last year

Edit: And yes this was with a new battery, I ruked everything else out
