Default Brake change....05 Ram

Has anyone changed out their brake pads yet on their Rams.....

what was the cost for all four....and at what mileage did you have them replaced.

I have 18,200 miles on my 05 Ram...lately ive been feeling a shaking in the wheel as I begin to slow...wondering if the pads are wearing unevenly at this point.

Your rotors are warped. Fairly common.

thats because you bought those high dollar semi-metallic pads [sm=badidea.gif] , they glaze the rotors and get real F'ing hot, they may stop the truck in 2 foot less from 60 mph but they are pieces of crap in all other aspects.....tons of dust, get real hot, warp rotor because of the heat, cost a fortune, squeels like a stuck pig.....and so on, I always go with the factory style organic pads.

Many here have been very happy with good aftermarket rotors and a set of ceramic pads.

Yep!!! What Doc Said!!! They stop better fade less, eat the hell out of rotors, create little dust. If you use 'em, plan on new rotors each time when you do a pad change. I'm putting them on mine the first time I change pads. I'm coming up on 18k on mine now with no warpage so far. Maybe I'll get lucky.

Has anyone here thrown on a BAER set of high performance disc brakes? They look real slick but I wasn't sure about ease of adapting them or handling.
