I am using my stock ice box, oem style air filter, I have no screen for small bugs since I felt the air filter was enough. I live in SoCal and the ram air opening is so high off the ground so I don't need to worry about hydrolocking. O, and I spent up to 12 hours designing it. I was learning how to use the program and I was trying to perfect the adapter. It's a 6" by 6" plate with a 4" diameter cylinder attached to it. The machine that made it out of plastic.... I was told that that plastic was $12 a cubic inch. Of coarse the college paid for it. The plastic is not so strong so I increased the wall thickness of the plate and cylinder.

I think that mod is rediculous, and will only HURT performance, not only that but it looks cheap and ugly too.
The actual fog light air opening looks sweet, you definately desgined and manufactured that well...
But using dryer vent aluminum tubing? Bad idea, look at how rough the inside is, you're just going to create TONS of turbulence... The engineers at DCX did a pretty good job of designing an intake already... Sure you can always make it better, by switching to a cone-shaped air filter, and eliminating the accordian-style rubber hose that connects the throttle body and the air box...
But ADDING extra length to the overall system? I don't think the air down there will be much cooler, than the stock intake location behind the front grille... And as I've already said, with all those rough edges inside the new tubing... You're just going to slow down the air flow that much more...
Turbulence = bad.

Beware of deep puddles. Also, what are you using to filter the air coming into the motor?
