Do you have 4x4?

Do you have a QC?

Do you have 20's?

Do you have stock gears?

If so, you weight a ton more than the little trucks, meaning 2wd and 2door. Before anybody gets off on me for that statement;

I like the looks of the Dodge, etc.

But if I wanted to go fast, I woulda bought a Lightning. I checked out the Harley Fords, but they are not fast and they look like a toaster.

I wanted 4X4 and a QC. So I bought the hemi.

My truck with driver is around 5900lbs.

There is a lot of stuff you need to understand.

I could smoke my 17's really easy but when I went to 20's I could not get them to spin unless I was on smooth surface. I attribute this to the high quality rubber I put on my new 20's. If the rubber is good enough, the tires will be come hard to spin. I had noticed this on my camaro (300 rwhp) as well. I do have to say, because the tires do not spin, I do get a hell of a launch.

Well i cant explain it then cause thats the truck that i have also the 2004 Ram Hemi 2wd Reg cab short bed 3.55 17in rims, barely a chirp when flooring on dry pavement. Mods i have are K/N CIA, flowmaster 40 series exhaust, and AIRAID throttle body spacer. Do you think i should take it to my dealer to see if anything is wrong, i mean hell the engine sounds strong.
Hmmm, throttle body spacers can sometimes lower your torque. that may be an issue with your setup.
Just a thought.

AIR RAM could give you some insight on TBS, I am no expert on them, that is just what a local shop told me as well as reading and seeing a dyno on one. It was not an Air Raid product that was tested so it could be complete BS on my part for even bringing it up.

I have an '03 4x4 hemi with 3.92 gears, 17 in wheels.. from a dead stop, no spin. going around a corner, will spin up. In reverse, no problem there either. But going forward from a stop, I get nothing but grip and acceleration..

Well, i'm changing from my 03 Lightning, to an 06 1500 4X4 QC Sport.... My lightning is kiling me on gas mileage, and I race it quite a bit, gonna be hard to say goodbye to 620 RWHP..... It would break the tires loose a bit to easy.... even at 55 MPH....

Gotta sell it to get my Dodge, then The build of an 88-93 mustang coupe starts.

You're building up a Fox Body? Why not just switch the motor out of it and mod that. The motor is those early 90's stangs have absolutely no top end and also problems on low-end torque. If you put serious money into it then there wont be much that can catch it but personally I would get an 03 Cobra.

Hey, I have about 500 miles on my new 2006 Ram QC with the 5.7 and MDS. It also has the AWD transfer case and Limited Slip. I cant even chirp my stock 20's from a standstill. Ive tried to powerbrake them once and was unsucessful at 3k rpm's. Im told that some of the 05's and all the 06's wont break lose like the older Hemi's because the computer is recalibrated because of all the complaints from customers about that problem. Im not sure of the truth behind this, but my buddies 06 is a regular cab built everything else the same as mine and he has the same problem.
