Suggested mods and upgrades for Ram 1500 Night Runner
Bought my first brand new Dodge yesterday. Quad Cab 4x4 5.7 Hemi Ram 1500 Night Runner. Have some tinting, running boards, some trim and spray in bed liner by the dealer next week sometime. Asking all the Dodge experts familiar with this truck, what are some cosmetic add ons you would go with for this truck, and what other modifications would you recommend. I owned a Dakota when I was in high school, a Ram Charger when I was older, and my family has all owned dodges, from the first gen Ram to the Durango, we've had driveways full of Dodges. I finally got a truck I could see toying with though so any ideas are appreciated.

RE: Suggested mods and upgrades for Ram 1500 Night Runner
Gonna have about 2000$ or so to make upgrades here soon. Need some exhaust and intake ideas. Performance upgrade suggestions appreciated!! I can build a high rise but I can't tell you what year any car is by looking at it. So I need some ideas.

Your exhaust manifolds are the most restrictive part on your truck. I am a firm beleiver in headers as you first real upgrade. After that I prefer a tru dual exhaust but that might push your budget because I am assuming you will have to have the work done. If you can find some deals you might be able to get a CAI. Personally I don't think there is enough actual performance benefit from one to the other unless your building a NASCAR engeneered motor where every little bit is used, so I would look for whatever price or style you want.
Another way you might go is to stop at the exhaust and wait till you can get a functional ram air hood. Better than any CAI by far.
A chip would be nice too.
From there I guess it depends on how far your willing to go. Either way I would start by replacing the entire exhaust system, that might cost the whole $2000 but it will be at least as good as a Cat back, CAI, and Chip.
