Anyone know the dealer price of a tailgate? I have been reading and a lot seem to get stolen.

 

I want to say around 500. I have been wrong before

Sounds like it is definately worth putiing in my garage until I geta lock for it. Shame I have to go through all that But such is life.

 

Maybe when the guy stole my truck he really only wanted the tail gate..It was locked on by the lid. I got it back in two weeks ,tail gate and all.

 

I can't even figure out how to get my own damn tailgate off...

It's easy just unhook the cables right and left side. Let the tailgate down halfway pull out toward yourself ontheright side it will release theright sideThe left slide will slide out towards the right. Hope that helps.

 

The question shouldn't be "What is the dealer price for a tailgate?" but rather, "What is the street/salvage price for a tailgate?"

Unless there's a conspiracy where dealers are stealing tailgates just to sell them back to folks....

Glad I live in an area where I don't have to worry about that kinda crap..

Just got back from the Eagles game tonight...

Locked the doors to the truck, but not the toolbox in the bed... Cooler in the bed still had 2+ cases of beer in it and my grill was still there...

And yes, my tailgate was still there too....
