head gasket?
I have a 1500 4.7 liter there is white smoke coming out of my tail pipe only until the truck heats up, it is not overheating ,there is no milkshake in the oil.I have no idea what else it could be. any other ideas would be great THX.
White would mean that it is burning water.. You are not losing any water? and the water isn't milky? That just doesn't add up. I would take it to a reputable shop or the dealer and have them perform a pressure test on the cooling system to make sure there isn't a warped head, or blown gasket, as I can't think of any other way for white smoke to be produced..
It has just over 70,000 miles on it I did have the water pump go out about three week's before this happend I replaced it along with the raditor , fan, and fanclutch assy. But had no problems with it smoking until 3 days ago
