Default Ground Force 2/3" drop kit installed -pics

It was time to change out the tires on my RAM so I installed Parada Spec-X 305/50-20 tires which are a little lower and a little wider then the Goodyears that came on the truck. Once they were on the truck I did not like the look with all the space around the front and rear tires. I decided to install the Ground Force 9984 2 / 3" drop kit to level the truck and hopefully make it look better with the new tires. The kit is not too bad to install, but I did run into a few tough spots. The front struts were a real PITA to get the main strut nut off, and the rear shocks top mount is not easy to work with. You do have to pull everything apart up front.
The rear air bag setup had to be modified, but still works for hauling. The ride is very good with a minor change towards a sports feel.

Thanks, The alignment guy said it looks like a 2wd now - lol, but still seemed to like it. My wife is 4' 11" and now its much easier for her to get into the truck. It still has a slight rake to it, but not as much as it had before.

How is your towing now with the lowering kit? Any difference in how much lbs you can tow?

I have not had a chance to tow with it yet so I can't really say. I discussed towing and loading the truck with Ground Force and they said when they tested a truck with the kit it was fine at 1100 pounds. I also have the 1000 pound air bags on the truck so I should be okay with both loads and the trailer.

Does lowering a 4wd truck affect the 4wd capabilities? I.E. binding, affect the turning radius, etc??

My 4wd seems to work just the same as it always did. Actually, everything works just the same except for the ride. The truck does ride a little firmer but, when you take a turn it does not roll over as much. For me, this is a change I wanted to have.
