f150 Raptor

It would be nice to also have the F-150 S.V.T. Raptor, to compliment my fleet, for my urges to hit some higher speed trails. I live minutes away from the desert. I live in the mountains.

I looked into them but for the price im not sure i would do it. I went to the ford dealership today to test drive and possibly buy a new f150 and wow, they have changed. U basically get the raptor in the xlt package as in u get front and rear electronic locking differentials. u just dont get the suspension.
Also get integrated trailer breaks and sway control. and a screen in the dash showing if the load ur hauling is off balance or if the truck is leaning due to bad loading or bad shocks.
The gauges in the truck are new and beautiful but the seats seem to be a tad bit ugly to me.
I havent decided on if im going to a ford or if i should wait to test drive a few new dodges. im going to the dodge dealership tuesday to see what they have but if i got a dodge it be a 2500 with hemi and probably powerwagon but thats a ton of $$$$$$$

I hope the 6.2 has more oomph than the 5.4. I have a buddy who had the Raptor with the 5.4 and I've driven it a few times. It spent a good bit of time in the shop (the guy made the stupid mistake of buying a model in it's introductory year) and he was underwhelmed with the power as I was.
He ended up trading it in on a Cheby 2500 with the 6.0 V8 that has a ton more power.

I respect the fact that when the going got tuff, they did not take the bail out like the rest, they stuck it out, made some changes inn the way they do business and imoproved the quality of the vehicles they make. Next time I by a new vehicle Ford has earned my business.
They didnt do it the same as dodge and gm did though, but STILL took gov money.
Ford didnt call it "Bail-out" money, but they borrowed money nonetheless
