Don't be surprised to see the next one you pull up to go up in flames, lol! Seems they're having to recall about 15,000 of each F model for a faulty body module that catches fire when over heated...Raptor included. That's a total of about 60,000 trucks that they are recommending to stop driving imediately until it is brought in and repaired! Then there's Chevy having to recall call about a 100,000 with rearend problems. Seems we're not doing too bad with our trucks after all considering recalls!

Not so fast...

According to Pickuptrucks.com:

Recall Alert-

2008-2011 Dodge Ram, Ram 4500/5500, and Sterling Bullet= 22,274 trucks for a steering problem.

2010-2011 Ram 2500 and 3500 with the diesel= 76,000 for a brake light problem.

By my calculations; 22,274 + 76,000= 98,274 trucks. That means that Ram has to recall 38,274 more trucks than Ford. Let's not forget that Ford sells about three times more trucks than Ram.

Sorry. I feel I have to defend Ford when someone, without facts, blurts out with- "Ford sux".

No need to apologize Sir and plz believe me...I mean no disrespect to you as an individual. But I would like you to think about where you are. This is no Ford forum here where they themselves constantly trash the Ram...especially on the Lightning forums so plz check yourself. I can do that on my forum just as rightfully as they do it on theirs. We are here to lie, fib, make up stories, exaggerate, or what ever we wish, though I don't but it is all in fun. I respect the fact that you own a Dodge but prefer Ford...that's your business. But when you come on my turf (lol) besting the Ram with a twin turbo six banger and what nots, I can say what I want. I didn't start the talk between the two...you did with your slow and go trails for the Ram and speed trails for the Ford comments for one. I don't go to Ford forums talking about Dodge besting Ford...it would be disrespectful to do so...agree? So I am in MY house, I like Ram...that's why I am here and I don't like Ford and that's my prerogative, lol! I don't care to hear how much better Ford is than Ram...if I wanted to hear that I would go to the Ford forums. Now...back to topic, those "RECALL" (NOT RRT) numbers I mentioned are for 2011 Ford numbers ONLY and there are approximately 16,000 for "EACH" and every F series 2011 model alone not to mention other lines of Ford. Those numbers are immediate recalls that are considered to be hazardous and they are advising owners not to even drive them, he he! You are throwing in 2008-2011 numbers for the Ram and including RRT's. No offense to you Ford lovers on here, but when you stop besting my truck on this RAM forum, I'll stop trashing yours, lol! Until then...Ford sux!

Absalutely right. It is too easy to just blurt out negative comens without having facts, All the trucks are having recalls for one reason or another.

As far as research, maybe you could point me in the right direction. Where exactly did you read that Ford took any kind of bailout? I could not seem to find anything on it. everything I found said, they did not.

Definately...I go to other makes of forums from time to time and they all have the same things in common. And I'm no better or worse (well maybe worse, lol) than the next guy when it comes to stats. Happy Trucking Bruther!
