Unhappy It just keeps getting worse for Ford F-150

Another massive recall for the F-150. This time the 2011's will unadvertently pop out of park with out pressing the brake pedal, running or not. Also, more importantly, reports now surfacing of the 2011's droping down to first gear while driving over 45 mph going down the road. Many drivers have reported to the NTSB that they have lost control, been in accidents, and several have rolled over. This is on top of the massive national recall for the 11's with the 5.0 or ecoboost, these vehicle transmissions have failed due to transmission pump failures, the majority failing with modest miles on the vehicle. Just thought I would share in case someone/family/friends is considering one of these very unsafe vehicles. Season Greetings by the way to my fellow Ram owners.

It's a shame too, Ford put's out some good trucks. I know Ford advertise's an all new, built in-house by Ford lineup of motor's, I wonder what transmission's they're using.

I think it was HammerZ71 talking the other day about the transmission's used with the EcoBoost being on backorder due to the amount of them failing, but it may have been someone else....

Maybe Ford will figure their crap out before they end up having to be bailed out

You are correct, it was hammer quite some time ago. I have been following this F-150 debacle on several F-150 forums etc. since he brought it to light. It seems to be getting worse. It really is sad like you mentioned. I just wanted to make us guys/gals aware, you know, people do buy/trade vehicles. This trans. issue with Ford is kinda hard to figure out, I do not know who their suppliers are. I really do feel for the F-150 owners, the majority were excited about their purchase, only to have repeated trips to service or their vehicles waiting on dealer lots weeks on end for repair. I have been reading more and more owners are just bringing their F-150's back to the dealers for buy back. Ford corporate from what I have read has not made things easy. Thank god for my trusty Ram.

Or they'll end reflashing the TCM's like they did with my Ford '07 Ltd. That 4.6 had great power in my Explorer until it started down shifting into first gear when at a dead stop causing the SUV to surge forward. Now it can't decide what gear to hold when driving 25-35 mph, and there is absolutely no power anywhere, especially in the mid-range power band. Oh well, at least the rearend hasn't had to be rebuilt... Yet!

If you own a turd, you might wanna get a head start and order that rearend, it wont be long, you`ll be needing it. No rearend is going to take 45mph downshifts into first gear with breaking something very soon. (order a new transmission while your at it, you`ll need one of those too) And when the rest of those turd`s need rearends for the very same reason`s, they`ll be on national backorder just like their transmissions are. The 3 major "turd" dealerships at where i live, ther is a mile long line at the door for problems with the eco-turds. Chevy is not doing well either... tons of issues with there trucks too. Check out "their" forums, tons of issues can be found for both turd`s an chubbies.

My hemi might have a noisey TC while in lock up and a slight vibration due to the MDS, it only makes me VERY glad i dont have a turd or a chubby.

Dodge Ram =
Ford & Chevy =
