It's been over a month I believe that I've been "waiting" for my seat covers and still nothing from the dealer. Are they really on such backorder?

My german dealer called me and said he has have to see the manufacturer nr. inside the seat ( chrysler germany told him he has to do this)?
My Ram has a vin wih the k20 recall in the system and the double stiched front, did anyone of you has this experience that they will see the number in the seatcover before they order the new ones ?
I think if i have the recall for my vin they have to replace the covers, is this the german special way or what?

Default New member - about to be new buyer

I am glad I had a detailed look at this thread. I have a meeting in two days to deal for a new 2011 Sport or Laramie, have not decided which as yet, but seats have been something I have been considering. Here in Ontario, the heated and ventilated seats on the Sport are a $1500 dollar option and on the Laramie $750. I live in the great frozen north but with hot summers so heated seats and ventilated seats would be nice. But having read the problems in this thread, mostly from 2009 builds but which seem to run into 2010 models, I am now thinking that I may be better to go with the cloth and vinyl seats on the sport, or if I decide to go with a Laramie to stay with the leather bench seats which are not ventilated. Has anybody had any recent experience with later 2010 model seats because it appears that despite recalls related to the 2009s, the problems persist? Any advice for a newbie to the RAM?

I have a '09 Sport with the heated/cooled leather seats and I have had no problems with them. I can understand your wanting them as I live in the Great White North also.

Winnipeg.

Perhaps one of the few places in Canada colder than Thunder Bay.

Default ordering on Monday

I'm about to order a new 2011 fully loaded sport on Monday and I've been debating on going with the leather, I know with the sport theres not much deferents between the cloth and leather but my wife wants the power passenger/ heated seat, is there a problem with the 2011 leather seats.

great site glad I found it, I'll be trading my mint 05 silver daytona

I have a Jan built 2010 and love the heated/vented seats in my Laramie. No problems yet.
