Do the Katzkin work with the ventilated seats? I have looked around a little and it doesn't appear they make some for the ventilated seats. Does anyone know for sure?

Default Finally

A few months ago I took my 2009 Dodge ram with the heated and cooled seats in for a 3rd new seat cover..
Chrysler calls over and over. E-mails etc. 3 different mfg's.

Against my every expectation this seat cover actually holds up!!!
The preforated part is real leather now. Its a shade darker and not the slick finish the other covers (and my passenger) seat has.
Looks like leather.....is leather. Looks better than the old too. Stronger.
Its a fine new seat cover!

This latest seat cover for my truck still looks showroom new.
It has lasted far longer than any of the other covers...and shows no sign of wrinkling...or tearing....at all!!

I see its already posted there was a cutomer satisfaction notification K10 issued to the owners of trucks with perforated seats.

This forum played a big part of making that happen.
I sent this link to Chyrsler many many times.

We won. What a hassle....but its OK.
Now to get my passenger side to match.

Cheers

Great job on getting results! I remember following this thread since I picked up my truck 3/09.

Many thanks!

Default Seat Cover Recall Denied

I received the recall notice and called the dealership. I was told that they had to inspect the seats first and they would determine if the seat cover needed replacement. If the seat covers needed to be replaced, they would order them and would arrive in 2-3 days.

Mind you, I have some wrinkling on the drivers side seat and I have just over 13,000 miles.

So I took the vehicle in and was advised that despite the recall notice that my seat covers were not going to be replaced and that the recall was intended for tearing along the outer seam of the seat cushion. I mentioned the wrinkling on the driver's seat and he claimed it was normal wear and tear. I told him that I disagreed and that that seat won't last 50K and the rate it's wrinkling up. My complaint went nowhere and I left.

If your seat has the "double stitch" going around the front like mine it must be replaced. The service rep showed me the procedure, it had a pic of the stitched seat and the new improved seat with no stitching around the front. The inspection is to see if you have this stitching, not to see if its torn. If your seat looks like the one in this pic it must be replaced and it makes no difference if its torn, don't let them feed you BS. Thankfully my service rep didn't....And yes my truck needs cleaned lol

As soon as I heard about the recall, I contacted my dealer (even before I got my letter, which did come several weeks ago). He looked up my truck in the system, by the VIN, and this recall came up. He ordered the seats without even checking anything.

It has been several weeks now (3+) and I've yet to get a call telling me my seats are in.

Hello at all from germany,
i was also by the dealer the last days with my truck cause i have different things thats not ok on my one (key fob, mirror winkers, seats and some smaller things).
He told me there is a K10 and K20 in the system for my truck, K10 is the thing about the seats but what is K20? Did anyone of you heard about this?.
I have no call from him till to day cause he has to talk with chrysler germany if they give there ok for the repair.

Frank
