I have 130 miles on my week-old '12 and have already noticed the buzzing pedal. Haven't taken the time to look at it or try any fixes, but I'll get around to it soon.

It's been about 2.5 months now driving the truch at various speeds and conditions. I am pretty sure the vibration is still there but I suppose my foot has gotten use to it because I hardly feel it anymore

I have much the same thing on my new 2012, the truck is so smooth, no wind noise at higher speeds, I think this makes us notice any vibration in the truck. Not a mechanic but I feel like it is T/C, but again its so smooth and quite!

The MDS is whats causing most of these seat steering wheel gas pedal vibes.
Ther is a few people that have had the TC replaced only to find that they STILL have the vibe/buzz.

LU229,
I don't think this vibration has anything to do with MDS. I turned my MDS off by moving the gear selector out of drive which disables the MDS at any throttle position or rpm. This change did not change the vibration at all. The good news was that after about 30K miles, the vibration decreased significantly.

Most likely, you are chasing a different type and/or kind of vibration, because when some of these trucks are in MDS mode, some will vibrate you right off the seats and or gaspedals, steering wheels. (drop into 5th, mds off, vibes go away for me on every truck i`ve seen with this issue) I have worked on some that when we repositioned the motor mounts and the tranny mounts, it changed everything about the way the vibrations arise. Your particular truck may need to have the motor & tranny mounts loosend up, put the truck into gear, re-tighten the bolts all up. Over the years i`ve fixed many a vehicles by this method. I`m not saying it will fix yours or anybody else`s vehicles on the forums here, but what have you got to loose by trying it. (process of elimination senerio) Also, i dont know what exhaust system you have, but these 4th gen trucks with single exhaust are very prone to have vibes and droning issue`s. (you might even have a broken baffle internally) I`ve not seen hardly ANY with the factory dual exhaust have much of a vibe/rattle/drone issue. What year is your truck, and is it a Hemi 2wd 4wd QC CC...??? Do you have a tuner on your truck...? Have you changed any trans shift programs...? A line pressure booster...?

09, 5.7, auto, sport crew cab, factory dual exhaust, 3.55....waiting on call from dealer as to when my new catalytic converter comes in. The harmonic from the loose baffle drives me crazy.....but not as much as the POS OAT gauge. WTH were they thinking with that thing. Must have been the same idiots that designed the sun visors. They are pretty worthless....

Default 2012 Ram 1500 Big Horn 5.7 Hemi w/ 20" Wheels

Hi all:

I am new to this forum and new to Dodge. I got the 2012 Big Horn 1500 with the 5.7 and 20" wheels. I have the same vibration through my pedal. It occurs in the 2000 RPM range while under load. It vibrates while shifting between gears 1, 2, and 3 when it hits the 2000 RPM's and it vibrates at highway speeds of 65-75 when it is running around 2000 RPM's. I can say confidently that my problem is not with the tires or the MDS system because it does it only at certain RPMs and it does it when it is in tow/haul mode (which deactivates the MDS). I have no idea what is causing it, but it would seem to be a problem with the design of the torque converters/transmissions. I really loved my truck when i purchased it, but i hate driving it on the freeway because of the vibration. I hope someone else has a solution because right now i am not loving my new Dodge. Thanks all.

I actually did experience these vibrations in the gas pedal and they made me nauseous. After my torque converter replacement I can say I don't feel that any more.
So I would say contact the dealer and see if they will try the revised torque converter in your truck. Hopefully your truck does not have it already. But possibly it had something to do with the mounts, as they have to slide the transmission back to swap the converter so who knows.

New 2012 Ram, same vibration in gas pedal as everyone else is feeling. At least I am not the only one experiencing this.
