Default Pedal vibrations

I have a 2010 Quad cab with 5000km on it and I have the same problem with the vibration in the foot pedal , I think it feels like a grinding motion . I was told today by a Dodge dealer that the issue is dodge screwed up with the RPM the engine changes from 4 to 8 cyls . The change happens at the wrong RPM in turn causes the Vibration on the foot pedal. The system is mounted right above the gas pedal , thats the vibration you are feeling. I was also told there is not yet a fix for it....I hope its soon ...Has anyone else heard of this theory????

Although that may be true to some point I dont think thats the issue. I have the 4.7 and if does not run on 4 cylinders and i have had that same problem. Have also driven 2 other 4.7 loaners from the dealership that also had the exact same issue.

Good news is after about 4000 miles I stopped noticing the vibration. Either I got used to or the truck got broken in a little.

Exclamation i have also noticed the vibration in fuel saver mode

i have found if you use the manual shift stick and put it in 5th gear it will turn the fuel saver mode off and stops the vibration in the truck. I noticed when cruising beetween 40 and 50 mph and the fuel saver mode is on and its only using 4 cylinders to push such a large heavy truck at low rpms which is probably putting a strain on the motor or tranny causing the slight vibration in the truck.plus i havent seen a diffrence in millage in 5th gear with fuel saver mode on or off.

IM SURE EVERY 2009 AND NEWER RAM TRUCK HAS THE SAME VIBRATION, ITS THAT SOME OF NOTICE IT MORE THAN OTHERS. IM ALSO SURE ITS WHEN YOUR DRIVING BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH AND THE RPMS ARE BETWEEN 1100 AND 1500 ( WHILE THE FUEL SAVER MODE IS ON )THE VIBRATION HAPPENS!. WHAT I DO IS JUST PUSH THE MANUAL STICK TO THE LEFT AND IT TAKES IT FROM 5TH GEAR WITH THE FUEL SAVER MODE ON ,TO 5TH GEAR WITH IT OFF. THIS TAKES IT FROM ITS WEAK 4 CYLINDER MODE BACK TO 8 CYLINDERS WHERE IT HAS MORE PUSHING POWER AT LOWER RPMS?. SUDDENLY THE VIBRATION IS GONE, AND HONESTLY I DONT SEE A CHANGE IN FUEL ECONOMY WITH IT OFF. BESIDES THIS LITTLE VIBRATION PROBLEM, MY 2010 RAM SPORT TRUCK IS "F***ING AWESOME!!!.

That is one reason that I recommend folks get the lower rear end ratios. The hemi is not as happy at 1700 as it is at 1950. It has better harmonics closer to 2000 rpm and you keep out of the vibration at highway speeds.

Just bought my pre-owned 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4x4 4.7L yesterday. Didn't notice this in my test drive at the dealership (figures, lol) but as soon as I was driving it home from the dealership starting noticing it. glad I found this forum to know that it isn't just my truck (whew!).

I have hade my truck 09 cc sl hemi since spt this year never did this until last couple of week , and not sur if it the same problem. I have auto start on mine, as soon as i sit i can feel vibration in seat. As driv down road never relly goes away, and yes i feel it in the pedal and stearing wheel. I noticed when sitting in truck and in park , engine idles up and down, not high but noticable. The weird thing is the vibration thing is not a constant everytime i get in the truck kind a thing, no pattern. However i do notice btween 35-45 miles a vibration just in the pedal. Plan on bringing it to dealership to see if they have any clues.

Some of you guys might want to check your tires. If you are still riding around on those piece of crap HP's, they start to scallop. This causes the vibration you are all talking about. I had the same driving on Ruffles potato chip feeling, but then I got some Michelin LTX M/S2 and no more vibrations. Just something to look at. I know Dodge re spec'd the alignment numbers due to this problem. I am keeping a close eye on my new tires to see if they start wearing improperly.

Let me throw this out there for everyone to ponder..... (re: gas pedal vibe`s)
How about the guys with 09/10 dodge/ram with lifted trucks and or bigger diameter than stock tires,
are they having gas pedal vibrations after lifting or going to bigger tires...???
did they have the gas pedal vibe`s before the lift...???

Just my opinion...
Dodge has built a truck with way too much bragging being done when these 4th gen`s came out. (they over hyped them badly)
Its a truck, its gonna have issues and noise`s that they`ll never be able to fix. The 5th gen will have issues too, so get use to it.
