I have had that vibration since day 1, I noticed it driving home from the dealership. After installing the lift and larger tires the vibe has not changed. It appears right at 30km/h most noticeable when decelerating. I have talked to multiple dealerships, multiple times about this and they have different excuses each time. One dealership even told me it was a bent wheel and that i'd have to purchase a new one because they wouldn't cover it. Pretty sure the wheel is not bent because that would be felt in the steering wheel when mounted on the front. It feels like the driveshaft is out of balance or a bad wheel bearing but they tell me they checked everything including taking apart the rear end.

Thankyou...!!! THATS exactly what i wanted to hear...!
Its not the tires, and doing a lift kit didnt change the vibes either, as you can see above, this guy still has vibes...!
I suspected that it wouldn`t be any different with the gas pedal vibrating when changing tires and or lift kit, but i wanted to wait and see someone write it up in here that they still had gaspedal vibes even after different tires and a lift kit were installed.

I`m going to bet my money that the vibrations are coming from the combination of the engine AND the transmission (trq conv) due to LOWER rpm vibration freqencies.
These engines are putting out ALOT more power these days, ther are NO rotational balancer shafts within the engine block either to send the vibes to die. (not to mention, alot of thinner parts being made today has adverse effects with vibrations traveling) When you have these engines running 1,800rpm and less, the vibration frequencies HAVE to go somewhere. It will follow/run the path of LEAST resistance to die, and the gas pedal just hangs ther doing nothing, so thats why i think you`ll always feel the vibes there first. Once you fix the gaspedal vibes, the frequency vibes will travel somewhere else if not dampened.

Here is how i fixed mine from vibrating....
i located the gas pedal area on the outside of the firewall, took a tube of black RTV silicone and pumped a boatload of it onto the firewall. By doing this, it now absorbs the vibrations into the silicone before it can get thru the firewall to the gas pedal. I also split some fuel hose and attached it to the backside of my gas pedal stem. That too, absorbs any vibes coming into the gas pedal. Thanks to todays technology, we now have drive by wire gaspedals. The older vehicles use to have cable drivin throttle systems, and that would allow vibes to be soaked up by the throttle cable. It wasnt much, but it DID make a little difference back than. Reason i KNOW this, i had the throttle cable go bad on my T/A challenger yrs ago... the dealerships tech back then, told me i needed to replace the throttle cable. Guess what, that ole`boy knew what he was talkin about, it fixed the pedal from vibrating. He said the cable had stretched to a point that it had become a solid run for vibrations to run along.

ANYHOWWWWWWWWW..........
My Pedal Vibration Problem is SOLVED...!!!!!! And it was a CHEAP fix...!
For the people that wanna try this, you`re on your own. I`m not saying this will fix "YOUR" gaspedal vibrations, but what i AM saying is, it fixed MINE....!!!! You may have a totally different issue going on.

You betcha`brother...!!!!!!!!
I`m frustrated that i paid $45,000 dollars for a truck and the gas pedal buzz`s and NO dealer (or manufacturer) could solve it.
To think i solved it with a $3.00 dollar tube of silicone....yeah imagine that...lol lol lol (dampen anything, vibes always die)
Ther stands a good reason why i say dealerships SUCK...!!!!!!!!!! They ALL suck..! (99.9 percent are fuggin dumb idiots)
I worked in dealerships many many yrs, i finally had to give it up, i didnt wanna be among retards anymore.

As for the 32 round clip... all i have to say to that is, HELL YEAHHHHHHHH DUDE, lets kill`m 31 extra times to be dam sure....LMFAO
(...and the 5150 tags) I`m a huge vanhalen fan, i have 6 of his guitars. Been playin since age 5, and no stopping in sight...!!!!
I`m in my fifty`s now, and still rock out playin everyday...hehehe. Wife says i`ll die with a guitar in my hands.

I am very new to this forum, this is my first post. I wanted to seek/provide information on this issue. I currently have a 2001 Ram 1500 and finally decided it was time to upgrade. I am in the process of purchasing a 09 Ram 1500 Quad Cab SLT 4.7L 4x4. I took it for a test drive and I felt the same issue that a lot of people are complaining of. The truck has 43000 miles on it. I was wondering if people still feel it. I asked the owner to take it to Dodge and they still couldn't find the issue. I am going to still purchase the truck because I loved everything else about it.

Its a known issue with the 4th generation trucks, its annoying issue to some, but it wont break down on you.

It's just most noticeable in the lower rpm range. I was hoping I'd just get used to it, but unfortunately I don't think I'm going to. I will probably report it to the dealer at some point just to have it logged, however I don't have any hopes that they could actually do something about it.
I have the light as I have an 09 I am having this issue on my truck but did not before Fuel Save is not on when i feel it and it is worse when 70 mph and above. I have had my truck in there all day today and they either cannot feel or do not know why not sure. I am meeting the tech tomorrow to go on test drive with him.

I had to respond to this before I got to the end.

My brother has an 03 Ram with the 5.7 and doesn't have any such issues. My 06 Charger with the 5.7 didn't have anything like this either. This is something unique to the 09 Rams I believe, and possibly only the Crew Cab models with the 5.7.

I don't foresee a solution to it either as it's a tuning issue the engineers would have to address IMO. I'm anxious to see over time if this becomes something that more people notice and question. I would love to bring this up to the Dodge engineers and see what they have to say.

Sarguy, there is the possibility it may not exist on all trucks. Maybe as time goes on we can figure out exactly which configurations are affected. I do know that if I had on very thick soled boots or shoes I may not notice it. At least not through the pedals, but as stated before you can feel it slightly through the steering wheel and floorboard as well. However with the dress shoes I wear on a daily basis it's very easy to detect.

For those that have it, make sure to post what configuration your truck is, such as the following information which is for my truck.

09 Ram, 5.7, Crew Cab, 4x4, 3.55 gears, adjustable pedals and a build date of Oct. 08.
I also feel it very much with thin sole dress shoes I wear nearly every day. I have 2009 Dodge Crew 4X4 3.55 gears switched to 4.56 nitro and adjustable pedals Hemi of course and had one torque converter replaced and noticed it ever since so that is what I am leaning towards. I don't know build date right now as it is at the dealership.

I also have this vibration and will throw out an alternate theory.

I think it's these horrible Goodyear Wrangler HPs. The feel is similar to a friend's Expedition with similar Goodyears (problem alleviated by a tire change).

Perhaps some colleagues here who have switched tires can chime in.
Good theory but not my issue I don't have those tires on I ditched them long ago and my vibration issue was not there but now I think it started around 42000 I am at 45000 now

I have 36,000 miles on my 09 now and the pedal vibration has pretty much gone away. Unfortunately, the vibration was replaced by a loud harmonic vibration that I could hear, but not really feel. It only occurs at very light throttle at around 1500 rpm. It caused by the baffle coming loose in the catalytic converter. They are on back order, (at least mine was not the only one, LOL).
