Mine was built 10/09, seems pretty hit and miss on the paint. Naturally if you get a solid color its kind of hard to screw that up but the mineral grey has a lot of metallic and it looks, like topgun said, like they ran out of paint on the hood. Rest of the truck is OK except for some dirt in the clear. It kind of reminds me of a garage paint job..

I had a silver 2007 Yukon XL that in the right light looked as bad as the hood on this so its just not Dodge. I also remember Honda had a big issue with the silver on a mini-van a few years ago, they were actually buying them back some were so bad.

 

Only complaint here is the paint, this is the worst paint job I have seen yet. There is a 6" run/drip on the backside of the cab and debris everywhere in this paint, I'm not talking about dust either, 4-5mm pieces of crap in the paint. Overspray and thin coverage where they added the two tone color. It looks like they painted it outside in the driveway with a paint brush...

Other than that, no other issues so far.

 

I love my truck!!!!! I'm just sorry i didn't get it sooner. I love the engine and the trans and the awesome exhaust sound!

 

My only complaint so far is the low powered air conditioning - braely keeps cab cold on a 90 degree day on coldest setting. Also the rear seat vent in the middle has so little air flow comming out of it it is barely noticeable. I actually took it in thinking something was wrong and they said that is just how they work. I didn't believe them until they took me out to two other brand new ones on the lot and they were the same as mine. They did say I was about the 4th or 5th person to complain about the same thing. Otherwise it is the best truck I have ever owned by a long shot.

 

I love everything about my truck!!! And for those who are not happy with the A/C performance I would suggest a good window tinting job.....

 

I think there might be something wrong with your truck then.

The AC on our truck is best AC of any of our vehicles. Yes, even better than our 100K BMW (with the one exception when the BMW has "MAX AC" activated - then the damn thing is Nordic).

But honestly the truck has ice cold AC, so it might be something worth getting looked at. Maybe go take a truck for a spin on the dealer and check the AC?

Inferno red here, 11/09. Is the build date somehow relevant to paint quality?

 

Had mine now for just under 18,000 miles and the only complaint I have is a minor one. The satalite radio won't come on when the temp is below -2F (or there abouts). It will sit for about 1 minute and then switch to FM. After the truck warms up a bit the satalite works fine. Never talked to a dealer about it, just not worth the bother to have the truck in for something that would be hard to duplicate/debug.

Other issue isn't really a complaint but more of a suggestion - They should make the coolant cap a different color. A quick glance at it, and I always think that it is the washer fluid cap.

 

i hate to look at this truck, i rather be driving it all the time. no time to look at the truck i just want to drive it. but i feel so helpless because i also i want to stare at it. i hate this feeling.
