Complaints about your 4th gen?
Overall the truck is great, but:
The cruise control is in a dumb spot, and is a bit flemsy, there is a lot of room for more buttons on both sides of the steering wheel that was wasted on the huge trip computer control buttons.
It makes no since to have voice control over the sound system etc if you have to reach over to push a button on the head unit to activate it first, again plenty of room on the steering wheel was wasted.
It would be nice if the if you like the air to be set on recerc instead of flowing from the outside, you have to push the button evrytime you start the truck, it will default to off.
The dual zone climate control sucks, you can't really tell the diference even if you set one side 10 degrees higher than the other side.
other than that I have no major complaints. I had a 3rd generation SLT QC, this time I bought a 2010 laramie Crew cab.

All the manufacturers use the plastichrome and have for years, just for last 10 years on the rims.
I have 1 complaint about my 09 and most will wonder why.
I hate that I can not turn the dash lights completely off.
Don't bother telling me it's a safety issue because I consider it a safety issue by not being able to turn the lights all the way off and here is why.
I am a bow hunter and because I am a bow hunter I drive dark gravel roads well before sun up and after sun set.
I know from driving previous trucks that it's a lot easier to spot a deer about to jump into the road in front of me with all the dash (& other interior lights) turned off.
I enjoy being in the woods hunting deer with my bow but you can have that deer vehicle collision stuff.

So 15% would have been around $6000 I could live with that they are all knocking it down 3 times that much.I don't agree that anyone should have to bite the bullit and live with it car companies have to start to be more accountable for their products.I buy a new vehicle every couple of years for myself and am in the market for a new car for my wife, if they would have handled this better I would have bought from Chrysler again but probably not.I guess most don't agree and don't mind being screwed over but I won't,i've said enough thats the way I feel I hope no one else ever has this problem because it is frustrating.
They know what you paid, they use the excuse of driving it for 5 months too. I know how they work I leased a Sebring, one of my kids totalled it after 2 months, I put 2000 down. I got none of that back, they told me that is what the customer does to lower the payment. I said ya but I made 2 payments. I will never lease again and never put a cent down either if I finance. I want my wife to go become a car salesperson to learn all the BS tricks and what kind of scams they get away with. I know a few people but they still work there so they won't say much..
Anyway I hope it all works out for you, I am gonna talk to my buddy and give him a hypothetical situation and see what their stand is for fun. I can't believe the dealership would tell you after its fixed that its worth less with a rebuilt motor.
I have been thinking about this...if a truck on the lot pukes before its sold, lets say during a test run do you think it would sell for less than whatever the dealer requires for a new truck? I doubt it they would fix it and advertise that. It's all new still working fine, it happens at the factory sometimes you know that, they change the motor or rear end..I was at the Bvan plant, It won't show up on the sticker or the computer well it might at the factory but not at the dealer unless done at the dealer so what is the difference I don't get it. Can't you try that arbitration thing or is that how far you are?

I just sold mine and didn't realize how much I enjoyed it until now when I don't have it!
Some of the issues I had, but resolved were:
Brakes overheating - Factory defect, the brake lines were twisted on many of the trucks produced mid 2009. They tried to get me for $1700 for new rotors, pads, and to rebuild the calipers. But 2nd opinion revealed it was on them in the first place.
Pre-flash, The damn keyless entry would freak out on me every now and then and wouldn't turn off until I unhooked the battery cable. NOt sure to this day what all that was about, but in any event, the flash corrected it.
Exhaust way restrictive and way too quiet - I got rid of the ridiculously oversized muffler and gained 1-1.5mpg and it ran a lot better and sounded like a truck
Torque Mgmt was a joke - Got a tune and eliminated the majority of that problem
Didn't like and still don't like the plastic chrome wheels
Factory sub was a joke - Made me a custom box out of fiberglass and mdf and added me 2 12" subs and a 1,000 watt amp. Acoustics in the truck are very well when adding aftermarket sound equipment. The mids and highs were great stock.
Wouldn't have sold her if it wasn't for the sweet offer. I put 40k miles on this truck in the 10 months that I had it and overall, highly recommended. Especially when sitting next to the GM/Ford trucks.
(Paid $31,289 out the door and @ 40k miles was offered $29k, so I took it)

Sobomaster,
I just eliminated the truck for now. Bought it to be comfortable doing estimates and driving around. Back in the 2007 3500 Cummins 4X4 (the last year, early build date w/ 5.9) for now. Was nice having the comfortable "estimate" truck, but as I mentioned, offer couldn't have been better after 40k miles!
If I were to get another 1/2 ton truck, for sure another Dodge!
If it wasn't for the 6.7 Cummins that I really don't prefer... I'd love to get a '10 one ton with all the amenities that my 1/2 ton had
