Hey guys, would your warranty be effected at all by swapping out the stock muffler for lets say a Flowmaster?

Thanks!

they can void warranty items, but only on things related to the muffler. Example, if you go in with a vibration problem that is caused by your new muffler resonating, it will not be covered. They can't refuse a claim on a leaking radiator because you changed your muffler.

If you read your warranty info that came with your truck you will notice that after the bumper to bumper warranty 3 years or 36,000 miles, which ever comes first, your exhaust system is not warrnated, neither is any of the emissions equipment after the emissions warranty (7 years or 70,000 miles). So do what you want to your exhaust, it's not covered anyway. Me, I'd hold out for a Corsa exhaust system.

^^^ I would not touch the anything related to emissions. There are hefty penalties for doing so. If you get caught of course!

Not to be "that guy", but, emissions equipment still needs to be on the truck in Florida. The laws are federal.

I lived there for 8 years and am going back there, but I have never heard of anybody getting busted for not running emissions stuff properly.

I won't tell anybody either.

I would still be careful about adding, removing and updating anything on my truck. Warranties are not written in stone and I would believe there is some wording regarding this matter in the warranty contract.

I love mine the way it is. I would not have purchased it if it did not look tough, sound good and ride like a car.

Ps....Except the rims. I will change them.
