MyGig Lockpick Owners
That's a really good idea... I wish I had thought of it. Oh well, perhaps next time I have the dash apart I'll run the cable. Fortunately I don't have the floor shifter, so its much easier for me to get into the dash (no chrome trim ring to deal with). Thanks for the idea.
New version of Lockpick has a updateable usb plug. V 2.5 funny thing Coastel Tech does not advertise the newer version but I can find it on Ebay.
There is a newer version 3 of the Lock Pick also with USB flash abillity. Anyone care to share any experience with the Lock Pick V3.
It seems that the better way to go would be the more expensive AllGIG? The only part I can't figure out is the Itouch Integration. They say if you buy the AV cable it is possible to play video from your ipod but I think you would also have to buy a Video out cable from Apple for your ipod. Has anyone used a "non Apple" cable and had decent results.
I understand that anything but Apple product poses an incompatability problem or audio and video clarity issues. I would really like to avoid spending another $299 in the AllGig ipod integration device.
My 2010 Ram did come with the Ipod cable in the glovebox but I assume this is strictly for audio?

Anyone with experience with the V3 Lockpick here?
I would like to know if the problem with the sound being interupted in Dodge Ram 2009 models with the Alpine setup has been solved before I order a kit and have it sent to the Netherlands.
THanks for the help!

You need an RER MyGig Radio in order to have navigation. The AllGig only unlocks features that are normally blocked. It cannot add navigation to a non-navigation unit.
I have a 2009 Dodge Ram with the MYGIG. I purchased a Lockpick for it and have experienced the same audio dropouts that others here have. I emailed support@coastaletech.com and Carlos called me back. He told me he was unaware of any audio dropout issues so I emailed him a link to this thread so he could see that others even mentioned they talked to Carlos about this problem. I asked for him to send me a new one and I would send mine back so they could see the problem. He said the best he could do was to try to troubleshoot it over the phone so I called the company at 1 800-507-2234 and talked to Brent. He was not willing to do anything for me even after I explained to him that I have been having this problem since day 1.
Obviously, I'm not the only one to be having audio dropout issues so they are not being truthful when saying they know nothing about this problem. Also, they are not helpful at all when you have a problem, they simply say they are unaware of the issue.
Not a company I would recommend buying anything from based on the way I have been treated and others here have been treated.
