Drove mine again today 40 miles to work, no problems. little feedback from road conditions (bumps, etc. normal stuff). Now it seems I need to take in to straighten out the steering wheel, have to hold slightly to left to keep straight, when let up it drifts ever slightly to right. I have had this on the last two trucks, not a biggy but will have taken care of next time. For people having problems make sure they index the tires with the rims, my dad use to sell performance tires and commercial tires, he also had an issue with his 08 silverado which was only fixed with indexing.

I'm still working on my issue with the dealer and Dodge. Hopefully I'll have something good to report eventually. The road force balance I had did not eliminate the shake between 60 and 70 mph, but I do have the wheel feedback mentioned by 'rolltidehemi'. It's no fun having to always hold the wheel to the left to keep the vehicle straight.

I would also say I was surprised this weekend when doing my first oil change. I had a glimpse of the uppper control arm. Does anyone know when they went to the bent metal upper control arms? Looking at the massive lower control arms in comparison, makes me wonder if that arm design isn't responsible for the steering wheel being so loose over minor road imperfections.

Anyway, I'll keep responding as I make progress (or lack of progress) in hopes that we can all figure this one out.

Control arm bolts do need to be checked for tightness over time.

Yeah, the little bit of steering out of alignment sucks, but at least for now the shake has been taken care of, the minor feedback I experience is what you would normally get with any car, nothing out of the ordinary like some have mentioned, when I go to buy new tires they will definately be Michelins or Pirellis.

I'm wondering if the driveshaft is the source of the vibration? Has anyone had their driveshaft balanced or checked for straightness (runout)?

I questioned my dad on this issue (he's an old school mechanic as well before sellin tires), he said above 35 mph you wouldn't notice it if it was out of balance due to the harmonics, I don't believe it is the shaft, but until you rule everything out, its a question mark, I think this is a combo of monkey mech not knowing how to use the machines and tires that need to be index after the tires with flat spots are removed, I'm sure the other three tires on my truck still have flat spots, just were not as bad as the one that was replaced, there is a lot of wt. on those three versus the one that was replaced, but the truck runs fine now at all speeds.

I have 2009 1500 cc Laramie, but not problems, went and 6000km trip had not problems. I am from Alberta to, bought my truck in Vegerville.

If anyone on the forum knows of a way for an owner to work with the STAR team, please let me know. I'm willing to let them take my truck (provided they get me a loaner) for as long as it takes for them to figure this out.

Its not tires or anything to do with flat spots. They changed my rims twice, my tires again, and i bought new tires, Its something mechanical. I'm filing for lemon law.

HI TD-20 thanks for the link. I think i might go down that path.
I have had no luck. Drove from Edson to CAlgary last week and it vibrated the whole way.
Drove on the brand new ring road. it's actually worse!!
Gonna try Varsity Chrysler. Crowfoot dodge was TERRIBLE. Said they could not drive the vehicle faster then 80km/h when i specifically told them the problem was 100+.

Had the tires rebalanced at fountain tire and it did not help again
